About the role

We are looking for a production manager or production coordinator to work part time in the lead-up to the event.

The role will be part time, starting in June/July and working through until the event day, (mid-October 2022). We support and encourage flexible working, so you can work with other companies on other projects, as we acknowledge this is not a full time role and suits a freelancer. Most of the time will be remote working with some meetings and site visits.

The production manager/coordinator will work across the production and technical management of the event and must have strong administrative skills.

Key duties for this role include:

  • Create and maintain detailed production schedules and distribute to team, client, contractors/suppliers, venue.
  • Create and maintain all safety documentation including risk assessments, SWMS, SOP’s, hazardous chemical information, forms, templates etc.
  • Manage and maintain all supplier/contractor returnable documents including insurances and safety documents.
  • Create and maintain technical drawings (Vectorworks) – this is subject to skill base of the individual and not essential to the role.
  • Create and maintain technical production contact list and associated registers.
  • Attend meetings, site visits, rehearsals, technical rehearsals, Load-IN/OUT and events.
  • Collaborate and communicate with a variety of stakeholders including client, venue, suppliers/contractors and other team members.
  • Must have an appreciation and understanding of technical production elements including lighting, audio, LED screens, camera systems, broadcast, staging and automation, freight, stage management and health and safety. We support our team and hope to grow experience and knowledge through the projects we work on.
  • Must have attention to detail and strong administrative skills.
  • Must have an understanding of both theatrical and event environments.
  • Should have an aptitude for show craft / stagecraft, a creative technical thinker and solutions driven.

There is potential scope to grow the role with other activities across the business (IE: on other projects and opportunities).
